Als illustrator, wonend en werkend in Amsterdam, maak ik illustraties voor met name tijdschriften, kranten en diverse commerciële projecten.

Mijn werk kenmerkt zich door een sterke nadruk op handgetekende elementen gecombineerd met grafisch ontwerp. Redactionele en institutionele illustratie (non-profit en zakelijke dienstverlening) is mijn specialiteit, maar zo af en toe werk ik ook graag aan character en comic design.

Zo publiceerde ik o.a. de strips ‘Dot Comic’ voor het IT-vakblad van VNU Media Computable (2000-2003), ‘Camphanen’ voor de Gaykrant (2000-2004) en ‘Wibo Werkt’ in de REA-Krant (2005-2011). Voorheen werkte ik als redacteur/vertaler voor weekblad Donald Duck en als redacteur/recensent voor Stripschrift, het ‘oudste stripinformatietijdschrift ter wereld’.

I’m a Dutch illustrator living and working in Amsterdam, mostly for magazines, newspapers and commercial projects with a strong emphasis on handdrawn elements combined with graphic design. Editorial and institutional illustration (non-profit and companies) is my specialty, but every now and then I love to do some character & comic design as well.

I published comics (bi)weekly in VNU Media trade magazine Computable (‘Dot Comic’, 2000-2003) and Gaykrant (2000-2004), the largest gay newspaper in the Netherlands. Currently the comic ‘Wibo Works’ is published every month in the REA-krant (2005-2011). Before that, I was an editor/translator for the Dutch Disney magazine Donald Duck (Sanoma Media) and editor/critic for Stripschrift, the ‘oldest comics information magazine in the world’.
