WORK IN PROGRESS: Louis Theroux ‘Miami Megajail’

This is a project for a self promotion-mailing. I’m a fan of BBC filmmaker Louis Theroux and his documentary of the ‘Miami Megajail’ was an impressive tv-collage of thugs, weirdo’s, robbers, killers and hooligans: the perfect opportunity to do some portraits and put them together in one illustration.

It took more than two months to shuffle around with the various portraits and elements until I was satisfied. Lots of abandoned idea’s in color, form and composition before getting to the finished piece.
